Stop Venice From Sinking!!
And you know what they leave behind?
Empty plastic water bottles. Thirteen million of them. That’s a serious problem.
The thing about Venice is that there are public water fountains all over the place, so you don’t even have to carry water with you. There’s free, clean drinking water available almost everywhere you go.
There’s lots more information about Venice’s water bottle problem on the Venice Info Site.
Here are a few things you can do to stop plastic water bottle pollution:
First, take the Skye Sisters’ Pledge. Promise to stop using disposable plastic water bottles. Start drinking tap water. Start carrying your re-usable water bottle filled with tap water wherever you go.
Next, sign the Skye Sisters’ Petition and tell the Minister of the Environment that you think it’s time to do something about plastic water bottle pollution.
Then, hop over to Venice’s Time for Tap Petition and sign that too.
You can make a difference!
