The Dragon Academy
Ruby’s school, The Dragon Academy, is a real school in downtown Toronto. We were really pleased when the Dragon offered to sponsor The Spam Scam and allow us to film at the school because we think it’s the perfect school for Ruby and her friends.
The computer classroom you see in Chapter 2 isn’t really the Dragon’s computer room, but it is one of the classrooms. The school is in a very cool building — you’ll see lots more of it in future chapters. And the classes are very small so the classrooms are small too.
We spent a lot of time at the Dragon this summer while we were shooting The Spam Scam. We met a lot of teachers, but none of them were anything like Ms. Springer!
